I have now visited twice and had a delicious steak, cooked to perfection on both occasions with interesting garnish and tasty chips. The ambience is veryrelaxed, service is good. A really good no nonsense food establishment. I will be visiting again soon

Been advised to book beforehand, just as well as it is not a large establishment, very attentive staff who were able to advise on what was on offer. We settled on Rib Eye Steaks which were melt in the mouth together with a peppercorn sauce,...More

Had a great burger with an excellent black pudding and the butcher who made it served me! Recommended!

A large menu full of meats! Burgers and smaller meals seem well priced, but steaks were expensive, the cheapest was a rump at £20. Nevertheless good service and tasty food.

I went to McKirdys for the first time recently and had a nice steak. I'm just now sure it was value for money. It looked very lonely on the plate even with a baked potato and a little bit side salad. There's a South African...More

We had friends visiting from Texas for the Highland Show - when trying to find a good steak/burger restaurant for them - McKirdy's was recommended by a few meat eating friends so this was our choice for dinner one evening. I have to say that...More

We went after an exhausting day of golf into the city to find a proper dinner. Made a reservation over the website which was easy going. The different dishes we had were delicious from Haggis tower, over Apple & Black Pudding to Mixed Platter as...More

Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest
