We had lunch here after the Castle and enjoyed our food there. Service was minimal and a couple of the waitresses had certain attitudes that made us felt unwelcome. They had us wait for half an hour before being seated. We tried to brush it...More

Even though this is the heart of the tourist spots in the Royal Mile, this restaurant is terrific. The selection of whisky is staggering and the food was great. The haggis, natties and peeps, cullen skink and venison were terrific as was the service. Highly...More

Ate at the Amber after the Scotch Whisky Experience tour. Very good service of a variety of Scottish dishes, including "haggis light" (wrapped in chicken instead of a disgusting gastric organ). Whisky pairings a unique experience. Highly recommend.

Amazing selection of whisky on hand, but also great sandwiches and food here! We had a salmon sandwich and a chicken salad - both great! Friendly, interested staff.

What a very pleasant lunch with friends! Delicious tapas and sharing platters filled with great Scottish food. The service was excellent and the bill reasonable. Coffee and cake are recommended to finish off. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Will be back!
