Beats most Chinese restaurant in the area, good food, average price for such quality, wide opening hours for late night cravings. Have never dined in actually, but atmosphere and service always looks very good while I wait for my order. Kung Po prawns and crispy...More

We attended China Town on a Saturday night. We hadn't booked but were sourced a table for two very quickly. We settled on the set menu for 2. The starter and mains were very good and the volume of food was more than enough for...More

China Town is situated in the West End of the city half way between the Haymarket pub and Princes Street (about 10 mins walk from Princes Street) and is a well established family run restaurant that has something of a following with the locals, so...More

I visited this restaurant whilst on holiday in Edinburgh. I have to admit I'd never been to this restaurant before and followed the advice of trip advisor. The surroundings are very pleasant here and when we visited ( a Thursday evening) it was quiet. The...More

Overall a very good quality Chinese restaurant, we went totally vege and thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant is comfortable and well maintained. Staff very friendly but service a bit sluggish. Good wine list. Would recommend.

Arriving for a post conference meal, the set meal we had chosen started with excellent chicken and sweet corn soup, spare ribs and spring rolls, the main courses were great and kept on appearing, to the point that we were beginning to think no more!...More

I visited on a Thursday evening on the way home from work. There was a warm welcome and the service was good. I kept it simple with hot and sour soup, beef with green peppers and black bean sauce and fried rice. Couldn't fault it!

Visited this restaurant during a recent visit to Edinburgh with friends. I have rated this restaurant as poor, not because the food was bad but for the portion sizes alone. Four of us ate and although the food was not bad the portions are very,...More

West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in
industrial Britain had their most desirable
neighbourhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes.
Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest
citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind
grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel
crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and
sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along

I looked into taking a party of a similar size, and they were happy to accommodate us. They asked us to choose a banquet menu as this helps to plan and time the volume of food. I think you will enjoy your visit if you... More

This award-winning Cantonese restaurant on Atholl Place stands out on the Edinburgh restaurant scene for its chic dining room and contemporary cuisine. China Town is renowned for its sleek interior – which features chocolate brown walls decorated with antique Chinese musical instruments, silk curtains and LED lights. Popular for stylish parties, formal family get-togethers and special celebrations, China Town has earned an excellent reputation for its innovative cuisine. Seafood dishes are the kitchen's specialty, and you can order scallops, sea bass and halibut steamed with garlic and spring onions or stir-fried with black bean sauce. Head Chef Thomas Chan is happy to create bespoke dishes on request, and his acclaimed menu is complimented by a diverse wine list.
