I visited the place on March 2018. Best concept ever! Great pies at a low price. Great for lunch or a quick snack. A must visit as a snack-pit-stop between bars in the evening. I haven't stop talking/dreaming about these pies ever since

We wanted to try some Scottish pies and think this place can be a hit or miss. We ordered 3 pies to share and they were quite cheap. The steak pie was pretty good, so was the haggis with a crunchy crust. But the third...More

Piemaker is not a Michelin star restaurant. But you knew that already. What I love about this place is that it knows precisely what it’s about. Quick, tasty pies and pastries, good prices and absolutely excellent service (at least when I have visited). The selection...More

Great place to grab a cheap lunch however the gentleman at the counter exhibits very passive-aggressive behavior. Total Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde. Maybe he is practicing for one of the ghost tours in the evening. Either way, if you don't mind that, the food is fresh...More

We had an unpleasant visit here due to a rude, arrogant and deliberately unhelpful member of staff. My husband first asked what was in one of the pies, the offhand and curt reply he received was 'feta - that's why it's called a feta *something*....More

The Piemaker is just off The Royal Mile and is well worth the visit! You can go in at any time for a quick bite or a full, carb-filled meal. There is a great selection to choose from. This is not a great spot for...More

We stopped in here after walking the Royal Mile for a few hours for a snack. We split 2 of the pies, the feta pie and the Mac & Cheese pie. Both were wonderful and super tasty. The feta one was my favorite and had...More

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal

Not sure if they do Gluten Free. Most of what we saw was regular crusts. But if you're in the neighborhood, it's good to check it out. The guy at the counter very was friendly and approachable.

Hi there, if you haven’t gone to Edinburgh yet... the beef and potatoes pie was delicious and is what we picked as a “familiar “ item. They are kind of like hot pockets (here in the US) but Actually fresh/not frozen. They... More
