Really awesome little pub, outside of the main tourist area. Great selection of beer and food at a reasonable price. I'd recommend the Haggis burger, and speaking as someone who tried Haggis for the first time here, it was truly an excellent first experience.

Perfect place for a decent beer and decent bite to eat. Great portion sizes and there is plenty of beer to choose from, could do with more of a bottle/can choice but that's being picky - there is still plenty. Good vibes, better people and...More

The burgers are huge and the beer is cold; what more do you need? This is a fun place with good service and a nice selection of. Raft beers. I'd go back.

Many of Edinburgh’s student hangouts gather around
university buildings in Southside, the sort of
neighbourhood that supports a long string of
second-hand shops and eateries serving ethnic food for
just a few pounds. In August the student population is
replaced by vast numbers of boisterous visitors here
for the Fringe, Edinburgh’s world-class comedy and
arts festival which headquarters itself here. Flanking
