We have been to different pubs to eat while here in Edinburgh, and we keep going back here. Absolutely the best food! And service. Sit in the bar area for the truest experience. Prices good for the food you get. We had the fish and...More

We have eaten the typical fish and chips (we have tasted it lots of times before) and it was spectacular! Also, we tried a steak pie and it was really good too. But it wouldn't have been posible without the waiter's help. Pablo's recomendations have...More

Our visit tonight was very pleasant, friendly cheerful staff, great wine, amazing chicken with bacon & cheese on top "Hunters Chicken", BH enjoyed his Haddock, salad & Fries. Slowly eating our way around Edinburgh, this one is up there with the best.

Bar is great, location is ok. Exclusive range of whisky. Rare and old available. Food is horrable, seats are bad and to low to eat. Plates are without fantasy served, personell do their best.

Very friendly little bar. Well stocked bar. Lots of whiskies (obviously). Nice selection of real ales. Lot's of gins. We went in here to chill out and pass some time on a sunday afternoon. It did the job.

We stopped in here for dinner and had a bit of a wait. Finally seated, our waiter seemed a bit harried, though friendly enough. I had the steak pie, more like a steak sandwich with gravied and tender beef in a puff pastry sandwich. The...More

Thank you for bringing this to my attention and I completely agree that it was wrong to give you your bill without it being requested. This is clearly a training issue that I need to address and I can only apologise for offending you and...More

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
