Went there to take advantage of their 40% main course offer and ordered spaghetti with king prawns. I was scandalised to find that the prawns had not been deveined! I would not serve them like that, and couldn't believe that any decent restaurant would serve them that way. Never again, with or without discount!

The food was ok - not amazing. The staff were pleasant but made us feel like they wanted us in and out very quickly.

We visited this restaurant as a group of girls... we had a reservation when we arrived we were told our reservation didn't exist and there were no tables! We sat and waited while they checked their other system for the reservation meanwhile other people were seated without a booking.. the man was very rude.. Once we were seated we ordered... More

Tried to gat a table in this resturant... impossible. Staff must be trained to never look at customers. When we did finally get what seemed to be the maitre D' he informed us no tables. We had tried to book but where no you couldn't but when we pointed out empty tables we were told they were resevered. No interest... More

Visited this after an international match at murrayfield. Was informed by the little man at the front of the house that it was a 30 minute wait for a table. As we were in no hurry we decided to wait and browse the menu in anticipation of what we could have. After looking at the menu I started look around... More

Booked on Saturday afternoon for that night. We had been in other Prezzo so knew what to expect. Wide variety on the menu and caters well for gluten-free. Only 2 negatives, our table was beside the door which was very drafty and the buns on my wife's Italian Burgers were not up to scratch. That said the manageress took them... More

The best thing about this restaurant is the view over North Bridge. The food is typical of a chain Italian restaurant. We found it to be quite pricy for what we had and quickly felt hungry afterwards despite our 2 courses. The staff were so quietly spoken they were difficult to understand and they confused our starters and drinks which... More

Very well placed resturant next to the Royal Mile, food was excellent, possibly the best seabass I have had in a long time, fish fell apart easily but held it's shape, accompanying veg was crunchy and went very well with the fish, my partner also raved about the chicken risotto, friendly staff and doesn't hurt the wallet too much either

Went here for some food after getting in off the train! The service was good and good came quickly after the order but the best part about it was the pizza being thin! There was minimal cheese on the pizza and hardly any toppings meant to have pepperoni and chicken it had 2 pieces of small chicken and 3 pieces... More

Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
