Enjoying a quiet meal with very few other diners doing likewise( one other couple) we politely asked the waitress to slightly turn down the volume due to the speaker over our heads a little too loud. She obliged politely and we continued to enjoy our...More

Dragged myself away from the best steak pie in Edinburgh to try something else. Wasn't disappointed I had the chicken in diane sauce. Fantastic. Cooked to perfection. Friend only had starter as a main as again she chooses this all the time. Stornaway black pudding...More

This is another nice pub along the Water of Leith walkway, this one being directly opposite the Water of Leith visitor centre in Slateford. The pub is large and very comfortable inside, but also has a large number of tables outside beside the river, which...More

This pub offers pretty decent if a little predictable pub food. The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. They offer two courses for £10 which seemed quite good value. Decent home made soup and they also offer smaller portions of dishes like macaroni cheese and...More

Its very interesting watching the owner and his chocolate lab in this pub. Im not sure if this is meant to be a pub/eatery or a cat and dog home. There is little surprise that this place is dead. Last night I witnessed said dog...More

Really good pub grub. Steak and Ale pie is excellent. Nice cosy and friendly atmosphere. A great place to visit with family and even better that you can bring your dog too. It will be a firm favourite of mine from now on.

This local eatery is a chilled place to enjoy a bite with friends. Staff work hard to please. There is a slight lack of polish - but more than made up for in effort. Never any rush to get you out - which is a...More

We stopped here knowing that it is dog friendly. Even though we were a large party (9, including the dog), and we hadn't booked, we were very well looked after. The food was all delicious - fresh, well presented and very tasty.
