Went to Passorn with my wife and family and had a very pleasant Thai meal. The service was good and friendly. Not the cheapest meal I have ever had but enjoyed it.

We found this whilst trying to get out of particularly vicious weather. What a great surprise and a really happy accident. First off, the place is more like a swanky supper club than a typical Thai restaurant. Then the house cocktail was delicious and then, the superb £12.95 set lunch menu. I had an excellent shellfish starter and a spicy... More

Recently had a family meal here and was curious to see if there would be any negative effect given the recent expansion to a second location. Was very pleased to see the food was excellent, service was good and you can still feel like you are welcome by the owners. It was a Saturday night and luckily we had a... More

Had the Theatre menu and it was very affordable. Although not very busy the service was perfect. Cannot fault the meal in any way.

My wife and I both really like Thai food. We had heard a lot of good things about this place and so decided to try it. It didn't disappoint. The food was of a good standard and the service was also good. Would definitely eat here again.

Front of house unbelievably rude so didn't bother and walked out. Doesn't matter how good food is if attitude of staff is dismissive and unfriendly.

Was with a big table there for a pal's birthday and couldn't fault the service; super-attentive. And food was immense, I had the scallops starter then the house speciality beef. Glorious, will defo be back!

Staying in Southside & Holyrood

Neighbourhood Profile
Southside & Holyrood
Many of Edinburgh’s student hangouts gather around university buildings in Southside, the sort of neighbourhood that supports a long string of second-hand shops and eateries serving ethnic food for just a few pounds. In August the student population is replaced by vast numbers of boisterous visitors here for the Fringe, Edinburgh’s world-class comedy and arts festival which headquarters itself here. Flanking Southside are two great parks. The Meadows is a vast flat and sporty space where football, rugby, tennis, cricket, croquet, and golf often all take place side by side. Kids in its big playgrounds add to the joyful noise. Far bigger and much wilder, Holyrood Park extends to the east and provides a real hike up Arthur’s Seat, but the district is best known as the site of Scotland’s Parliament and its premier Royal Palace—and their steady stream of sightseers.
