Restaurant was empty when we arrived. The service was slow and food was distinctly average at best. Nobody even came to ask how our meal was. Also ordered a draught beer to be told there was none ! Then seen staff serving another customer with a pint. Won't rush back very dissatisfied.

Visited here for the first time. I thought that the drinks and food were over priced what you were offered. The service was poor due to them being extremely busy and did not have enough staff on to cover the amount of people they had in. The waiting time for food and drink is terrible and when some of our... More

Gave this a try for late lunch today (Saturday) and were surprised how empty the place was. Only 2 other tables seated and they had gone by the time our food arrived and only 2 ladies arrived before we left. The staff were really friendly and prompt. The tapas my wife and I ordered was nice. Wont attempt the spanish... More

We had a table booked in there private room and it was great. Throughout the booking process (us being uncertain on definite numbers) and on the night itself. Everyone throughly enjoyed there meal and the signer was fab and got everyone up and dancing. Great if your looking for not looking for a big hall and keeping the celebrations cosy!... More

We have been at La Banca several times and never been disappointed. The food is very good, the service is quick and good. I really like the atmosphere, more elegant than the average restaurant. Live music after 9pm, which is a bit too loud, but also a nice company. Prices are in the average of non-British restaurants. The only flaw... More

Not sure how this place has got any bad reviews, the food I had was top notch, tasty, well presented and full of Mediterranean flavours. With the accompanying draft Spanish beer and atmospheric Spanish music, I felt like I was in Spain (until I got outside and felt the weather). Full marks, will be back.

Food that was ordered wasn't what was advertised on the menu. One particular staff waitress was very rude.. Needs trained in customer service. Ordered a trio of burgers with was supposed to be accompanied with coleslaw.. There was none.

We visited at 7.30 on a Friday evening and were surprised there were such few customers in. The service was excellent-however it did feel like there was more staff than customers. Food was tasty-we chose the fish selection for 2- however the paella was lacking in taste and disappointing. The most annoying thing of all was that the music was... More

Visited last week for some lunch, nice Welcome from the lady who showed us to our table and took drinks order straight away. Menu had plenty of choice on it and the set menu looked sufficient too. We had a few tapas dishes - Gambas pil pil and a chorizo dish (the name escapes me). The prawns were a bit... More
