We have stayed at the Old Course Hotel several times and on other visits to St Andrews we invariably end up at the Jigger Inn. The pub, food and staff are always excellent. Not so this time. The hotel is currently shut during renovations so we were on a day visit this time. It was quiet so we sat down... More

Visited the Jigger Inn as a party of 4 in March 2017. Arriving ahead of playing the old course the following day, this seemed the obvious and must go see choice for refreshments and food that evening. . The pub is lovey and quaint, with plenty of golfing memorabilia on show as you wait at the bar. Drinks were reasonable... More

Been here a few times now and it never disappoints. Not sure if it's because I've been before but the food didn't have the wow factor this time. That said it was certainly not anything that was below standard. The Jigger Burger was excellent but the haggis starter was slightly plain. Staff were fantastic as always, the surroundings are very... More

Can't comment on the food or anything like that because we didn't stay long enough to taste it. We entered, sat ourselves down at a table and were approached by a young woman staff member. It's our experience that normally restaurant staff greet us with a friendly smile and a nice "hello", and "would you like to order a drink... More

We had some snacks here while taking in the ambiance of the old course. You can feel the history that came before in every corner. The signed hats were great to check out.

We try to fit in a visit when we are in St Andrews. Part of the Old Course Hotel complex, so the quality is always good. The staff are very friendly.

This is a quirky place to enjoy drinks or a bar food. It is quite small so don't expect a quiet pint - more a lively laughter filled atmosphere.

First impression on a November evening - inside was dark and not that warm. We were seated beside a draughty window and bare stone wall on a variety of stools and chairs. Not that comfortable. The choice of food was limited, fish and chips, burger sort of food. The Cullen skink was good as a starter though and warmed people... More
