Brilliant service, amazing food and a cosy ambience in the Abode Hotel Restaurant! The steak was cooked to perfection, incredibly tender meat served with a lovely bottle of Rioja. Waitress was very friendly and helpful explaining the menu. Will definitely be back :)

We had a 3 course dinner here last night included in our overnight stay . The food was lovely . A small menu but really enjoyed the food . Fish and chips were lively and fresh , husbands burger was lovely . Cheese board , and sticky toffee pudding were equally good . We really enjoyed our stay and the... More

Had dinner and breakfast here. Breakfast is very generous and very tasty. Dinner was nice and had 50% off too. So worth it. Staff are very good here and worth every penny of the tip.

We were staying in a nearby hotel in January when we walked past this restaurant's sign advertising an excellent winter special. We read the mixed reviews on tripadvisor and decided take a chance. We were very happy that we did. The dining room was attractive, and waiter very friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and tasty, and well worth... More

It had been a few years since we had eaten here and I remembered the dining experience being very good. Sadly the quality of the food has gone downhill since then with dry, tasteless offerings and slow service (only two waiting staff that we could see). It was quiet in December which is not a good sign. It's a real... More

Visited here for the steak and wine for £50 deal, there were 3 of us so we got 2, 2 steaks and 2 bottles of wine. The wine was a lovely aged Malbec and the steak was delicious. We even managed dessert after, the cheeseboard was fantastic. The service was really friendly too.

After a long day at conference we didn't fancy dining out so ate in the hotel we were staying in, good honest food at standard gastropub prices. Fish ad ships with plenty of chips, and a burger that tasted definitely home made, only one criticism, why do I get it served in a plank of wood, what happened to plates?... More

My booking for meal for two was confirmed 19/11/16 for Sunday 7.30pm. Great ! Our Anniversary (31) years and so looking forward to Cote de Boeuf + Bottle of wine........as we often share when on holiday in France. As we prepared to leave the house, my phone rang only to be told 'sorry' to inform me that last Cote de... More

My parter and i have booked a table and on arrival the reception lady has showed us where's the restaurant. We walked in and waited around 5min but no sign of waitress, we walked away.... place was totally dead. We were very disappointed.

Enjoyed a tasty meal with pleasant and friendly service and would definately eat here again if staying in this area in the future. We stayed next door at the Hampton so was very convenient. One of our party was in a wheelchair and was helped into the restaurant by considerate staff.
