Great wee place with fabulous food and warm friendly service!! A great place for brunch or a catch up coffee with a friend, fairly priced too!

A great wee cafe with a warm welcome guaranteed. Super selection of quick snacks and more leisurely options. Especially good to have a wide choice of vegetarian options.

This restaurant is within walking distance of where we were staying. Our was lunch was made to order (all good things come to those that wait), and we finished with coffee and home-made cake for dessert. Enjoyed our lunch so much, we came for another two lunches during our trip. As this restaurant is such a gem, it does get... More

Have been going for a number of years now, and I still find it hard to find anywhere to beat it. Superb fresh food, Great staff. Best coffee in Glasgow.

Just a few doors along from the Smile Cafe, the North Star is another excellent place. A wider menu than Smile Cafe, and a little bigger, but still tiny. The coffee is excellent, and so is everything else I have tried on the menu, perfect place to stop for lunch, not a place to go 'mob handed' ad space is... More

Great little place. Been going for years. They do great sandwiches and in the morning really great french toast. Friendly Italian staff. Would get 5 stars but no toilet facilities.

We've been going to the north star for a number of years now, and must say its a particular favourite of mine. Don't be put off by the basic look of the interior, pay more attention to the happy smiley faces at the tables. Run by a young Italian couple and their extremely friendly staff, they really do make you... More

This is my favourite coffee place in the whole of Glasgow. No contest. Have trekked here from all over the city just so I can get a North Star. Vanilla lattes are my fave but they do a mean veggie breakfast! Absolutely lovely staff always friendly and smiling and make it such a welcoming place I have and will continue... More

We happened upon this eatery and we are so glad we did. Small but perfectly formed!! We had the slow cooked ribs and the lemon sole Bolle which were both gorgeous. We came looking for soup and left very happy indeed. The menu here runs from hot filled rolls, cooked breakfasts to lovely homemade Italian food. The cakes are wonderful.... More

Local cafe of mine for years. I pop in occasionally for food. I like getting a recommendation and is usually sound advice . Any seafood pasta option with crusty bread to soak up the sauce would be my choice .

Thank Brian M
