Simple test of any cafe is their tea and scone ( in my humble opinion of one). Choice of plain, fruit or "dark chocolate and Raspberry". Great range of teas - selected Rooibus - and it came loose leaf in a pot. Both scone and...More

My husband tracked this down for my birthday. It's well hidden but worth finding! An eclectic place with a random mix of old fashioned China. However the food was delicious. We had a traditional afternoon tea and a wee tea. More than enough and very...More

During my year in Glasgow, I frequented the Hidden Lane Tearoom so many times I've lost count. Tucked away just off of Argyle St, it's a perfect place to escape to on a rainy day. It has a lovely vintage charm and tea is served...More

Apologies that you had a bad experience. We were very busy on good Friday but it is unacceptable for you to have to ask twice for your order. Our teas are mostly all loose leaf tea, people like their tea at different strengths and we...More

I never leave negative reviews but I'm disheartened enough by our experience at The Hidden Lane Tearoom to make an exception. My incredible mum has leukaemia and recently got home after undergoing a bone marrow transplant. She has an obvious feeding tube in place, taped...More

A little ramshackle cafe with odd crockery, Massive post of leaf tea, tasty sandwiches and cake to die for. Not cheap but worth every penny. Spot on. 👍

We visited today as a treat for my 40th birthday. We had the luxury afternoon tea and it was lovely. The sandwiches were all really tasty and the fillings were interesting and different. As for the cakes, well they were just excellent! They were so...More

I was thinking of bringing a two year old (who is objectively well behaved) for tea. Is this a terrible idea?
