So, went to Brel for our anniversary dinner, had heard lots of nice things about this restaurant so decided to give it a go. Travelled all the way from Blantyre to have a lovely meal. Our meal started out fab, food was lovely atmosphere was nice so we both were enjoying our meal. We then have a large group of... More

Went here as a couple for a meal. We both had burgers which were very tasty. Waffle desert was just ok. Nice surroundings and staff were friendly. Beer garden was excellent.

Nice place to sit in, loads of different wee areas so you can suit what kind of mood you're in- bright and airy or private and cosy. Dog friendly which is a bonus. We had cocktails which were very overpriced and not the best. Didn't have food but it did look good.

A great atmosphere for a Sunday afternoon. The place was so busy I am so glad we had the foresight to book in advance. The food was perfect and lived up to expectations. It was pretty reasonably priced too. The staff were friendly and helpful despite being rushed off their feet. Service was a little slow but we weren't too... More

What a good little find. Full and with a great atmosphere for a Sunday evening. Very interesting menu , particularly good for vegetarians. Of which we had one. I had the French onion soup followed by the beet salad it fine. Most enjoyable evening.

The girl running the restaurant was exceptionally dismissive when we were enquiring about the availability of tables. If you work in the service industry you should never come across as being hassled by such a simple request. They have let themselves down.

Great food in the heart of Ashton Lane. Mussels were delish but also a great selection of non seafood dishes for non fishy fans. The fondue night looks fun - will have to come back again for that at some point, and possibly a drink or two in the lovely beer garden when the weather improves.

We were strolling down Ashton Lane and stopped off for some lunch and a pint. The moule frites was a lunchtime offer and at £6.00 was a real success. We sat in the bar area and the lady behind the bar offered advice on places to visit in Glasgow. Two pints and a lovely lunch for £20.00; fantastic! PS worth... More

We had a fantastic lunch today at Brel. This was our first visit and we didn't know what to expect but we were delighted with both the food, the lovely staff & great service. I had delicious big & juicy tempura prawns & my husband had baby squid. Freshly made and very generous helpings. I then had the lamb cooked... More

What started as a great evening ended up in heated words and an abrupt departure , To put it in plain words the waitress decided to remove all drinks from our table whilst I had visited the bathroom , on return and questioning her the waitress said she would replace , however after consulting her manager the tune changed ,... Hello, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent visit. We do appreciate all feedback. Unfortunately your night did not have a happy ending as there were obscenities and threats directed towards staff which we do not tolerate. Best wishes, The Brel Team More
