I don't know if maybe this place has been taken over by new management or something but the night we had was far from awful. The service was great. We had a table of around 20 and no one went hungry. Starters were amazing and when we had eaten it all they asked us if we would like more brought... More

We had been here last year, on a last minute thing and decided t otry again but as an organised night. We had a group of 20 and the feedback from everyone was positive. The starters were excellent and we were told we could order more. We did and delivered with a smile. The service was good . when the... More

Was here for a works night out. There were about 5 large empty tables. Place only half full. No atmosphere. Starters were ok but main course was awful. Cheap made curries. Yuck!! Wouldn't recommend for a night out. Shanghai shuffle was miles better. Go there if you want good food and great karaoke experience.

Went here for a colleagues leaving party it seemed ok at first but when the food came out it was horrible very greasy and tasteless i survived on poppadoms all night they were nice!! The alcohol in my opinion was watered down and to top it all im assuming it was a waiter that spilt curry sauce all down the... More

I have just found that this restaurant is ALSO listed under "Ashoka Restaurant" ..(listed #581) in Glasgow for eating out. Having posted a review under "Ashoka Restaurant" (Same place). This added to the listing of #666 MUST make this the worst place in Glasgow to eat. I feel sorry for "The Ashoka Chain Glasgow" that this dump could be confused... More

Friend booked this via Groupon deal at £25 for 4 people however because there were only spaces for Saturday night there was a further £20 sucharge (why same food same drinks). three poppadoms between 4 people, an hour later one plate of various starters to be honest two people would be arguing what to take from it as there was... I went with three friends on a Groupon voucher. It is in a cramped low-ceilinged cellar which could do with a clean and some redecoration. There are several long tables with chairs squashed close together, don't expect room to breathe or privacy! There is loud music from the start, it only gets louder with the karaoke, so don't expect conversation!... More

Got a voucher from groupon which said it was a "buffet" with 11 of us squished around a small table it was hardly comfortable. Walked in and there was no buffet? The man explained that from 7-8 is pompadoms from 8-9 starters 9-10 main and 10-11 dessert. We got about 4 pompadoms between us what a joke. The wait was... More

Well, you live and learn. here are several Ashokas in Glasgow. Pick any other one and go there. The curry karaoke experience was ghastly. Blank faces at our reservation ( despite a cancellation message by email when we got home) , the reluctant offer of a 'good deal' at the upstairs 'A la Carte' restaurant ( additional cost of course)....
