Just sampled my first fritters from here. Off the scale good. Can't wait for an excuse to tuck into the fish. Spotlessly clean, quiet place to eat and convenient place to pop into.

Been going here for years off & on & it's still the best in Glasgow. OK - Glasgow chippies are generally bog standard at best but here you get freshly cooked to order fish & chips - the only way in my opinion - stockpiling fish not an option in my book - it's just ruins any flavour it might... This is a cute looking little place that is immaculately clean. The haddock is a thing of beauty, so fresh looking, but it is served in an average, if non greasy, batter with average chips and no extras (lemon, tarter sauce) save malt vinegar. Do not order something like a hamburger unless you like them deep fried with little in... More

As good as it gets for fish & chips and that's really saying something given how fussy I am about chippies. Located just east of Glasgow city centre on the edge of the merchant city at junction of Ingram and High Streets. Basically a take away chip shop with a few tables and chairs but that all adds to the... More

Grabbed a fish supper from the Merchant Chippie on the way home. Chips were made from very tasty potatoes and not too soggy at all. Haddock was cooked in a very consistent smooth batter, not like the grease trap you can often get when the batter is irregular. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Recommended.

Been in here many times. Food is great, really fresh. Staff are efficient and very pleasant. One of the best chippies in Glasgow.

As chip shops go, this is one of the better ones I've been to recently. Freshly coiked delisious food, at a reasonable price, meant we weren't disappointed. Recommended.

Popped in for a sit down lunch. Had the Haddock and Chips. Both cooked to order and cooked to perfection. Very delicious indeed! Will be back for more.
