We visited on a Sat night it was really busy (good atmosphere). The pints of Cobra are ice cold and the food is unreal! The waiter we had Zubair was a credit to the place, really friendly staff. Will definitely be returning next weekend. Lots if veggie options

We wandered in here based on the obvious popularity with the locals. The place was jumping the night we ate here with lots of families and large groups. The staff are great and very attentive. Service is efficient and the food was lovely and good value.

As a regular eater of Indian Cuisine I truly must admit this to be the Absolute Jewel in the Crown of Glasgow Indian Restaurants . I have been many times and always return for an absolute tremendous experience . The food is outstanding , the service is impeccable and my only complaint is the somewhat " cafeteria" style of décor... More

Excellent meal not a thing to complain about. Service was excellent as before. Waiter introduces himself and attends to you throughout your stay. Extremely pleasant atmosphere with many Asian diners.

Visited on Sunday night by chance. Had tried to eat at Mr Singhs but they had decided to close early and refused us entry at 9.20pm. Not to bad a decision as Akbars is just up the street. Nice big curry house with wide menu. Food was good and service was excellent. Was not impressed with the Cobra draft but... More

Excellent food and fabulous service given to us by Ali our server! A true ambassador to the restaurant and extremely knowledgeable, he made us feel welcome and could not do enough. Thumbs up! Thanks to the chefs for their creativity.. good luck.

First time I tried Akbars, i was amazed at the how great the taste was, the decor was amazing and the service was perfect....since then its dropped in standard. The food to me tasted pre-cooked and rushed, the decor still the same (can't complain on that) but the service was awful. This place used to be my go to place... More

Went for something different, so decided to give this a go after some good recommendations. Waiter was friendly, made some good suggestions and stayed near us, without intruding, drinks were always kept topped up. Food, starters were amazing, chicken tikka covered in melted cheese was amazing, while the wife had some light and crispy pakora. For mains wife had garlic... More
