A delightful fish and chips shop, the Blue Lagoon is located on the road that passes under Glasgow Central Station. This does have a sketchy feel about it, mostly due to the gloom and the neon of the shops, but it is worth venturing in. The fish and chips is well prepared and the portion size generous. Quality of food... More

Wow what a disappointment....we ordered a battered fish which was tiny and a large tray of chips. All I can say is super expensive and poor quality ting portions ...more expensive then Edinburgh or London....when I raised my surprise at the size and cost with the staff...I was told it's Glasgow....I replied it's not the capital and it's not good... I've just returned from a weekend in Glasgow with my other half. While there we stumbled upon The Blue Lagoon fish and chip restaurant and decided to try it out and we are so glad we did,it was fantastic. I had lasagne and chips and my partner had the curry, rice and chips. We waited about 10-15 mins for our food,to... More

Lovely fresh tasty chips. Right beside Central station, under the arches. I think it's the sister chippy to West Nile St., which is a short walk away but worth it too. Not suggesting you have two lots of sausage suppers in one day, but if in Glasgow for a bit, try both. Friendly staff and great location. Sadly, the old... More

Was I ever excited to find the 3 C's from my Scotland bucket food list at this fast food shop. Perfect quick lunch stop! Chips, curry, cheese. It was mediocre. I think I would have preferred it without the cheese because: 1) The curry wasn't hot enough to melt the cheese. It's better when it's oozing. 2) I'm from Canada,... More

Was passsing by when we came across this wee chippy. Ladies serving us were very friendly, restaurant clean and cozy. Food good had mac n cheese and chips. Hubby had 2 square sausage egg and chips. So good, wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

The staff in here were so friendly that we went two nights. This is a basic fish and chip shop but clean, warm & good food at a reasonable price. However, they only sell Haddock and not Cod which was a little disappointing. Other wise food was good.

We've been in a couple of times now and have to say that we are never disappointed. Freshly cooked to order the food is as I remember it from when I was little - good food and nostalgia in one visit who can ask for more? The servers are always friendly and helpful, excellent ambassadors for the city.

Thank Jennifer J
