Unfortunately the restaurant was a bad choice for us. We asked for bread which was on our table 1/2 an hour later (asking for it twice). The main dishes was on chef's kitchen servery for 15mins before the staff bring the plates to us and...More

Fabulous fish restaurant - we arrived dripping wet on a Saturday night when the place was heaving, but managed to get a table and had the most heavenly meal. Attentive, but not overhearing service. Good wine list and that fish. Melted in your mouth and...More

This was our fourth visit to The Finnieston. The first 2 were excellent, the third OK and this decidedly poor. It seems to be following the pattern of many a restaurant that begin well and can't sustain. Organisation is now abysmal. We had booked for...More

The best dining experience I have had in a long time. The venue has such rustic charm and is so relaxed and welcoming. Staff were attentive, friendly and professional. My first visit here so was unsure what to expect, I will definitely return and will...More

Dropped in for lunch and was delighted by the food. The fish soup was delicious and the muscles were fresh and some of the best I've ever had. The service was a bit grumpy and forgetful but the quality of the food made up for...More

We visited for some pre-dinner drinks and loved this place. Amazing gin menu, excellent staff and not too pricey. The range if gins is impressive and all served with the "correct" garnish and tonic choice. To be recommended if you appreciate your gin!

Amazing! We started with a couple of cocktails which looked and tasted wonderful, my favourite was The Pink One! I ordered the cured salmon with sea urchin ice cream to start which arrived swiftly and looking stunning. The combination was new to me but was...More

Hi Lainey, Thank you for taking the time to review The Finnieston. We’re glad you and your friends enjoyed your time with us. Unfortunately our lobster mac ‘n’ cheese is our biggest selling started and has a tendency to go quicker than anticipated at times,...More

We had lunch here for my dad and his wife's retirement celebration and the food was average to say the least. Photos show £9 scallop starter (not even 2 scallops and who serves scallops cut up?! Photo does it justice), and quail on a big...More

Hi Julie, Thanks for taking the time to write a review. Apologies that the food was not to your liking. All of our produce is fresh, locally sourced and sustainable so sometimes that adds somewhat of a premium on to our dishes. The two items...More
