Small friendly pub that sells a good variety of food at a reasonable price in the Merchant City. Staff are really friendly and clear tables quickly. We had the Rose Wine and quite enjoyed it. The Nachos were great, freshly diced Tomato in the salsa. So decided to have another drink and main course. I chose the Special Chicken Kiev... More

Went here for lunch on Valentine's Day. Had an amazing burger with a portion of the best chips ever. Excellent selection of craft beer too and very friendly staff

Enjoyed a locally brewed ale, companion had water Total £6.10. Had to get poorly filled pint topped up. Couldn't see prices on display anywhere so wasn't sure I wasn't being ripped off, but didn't want to raise an issue as was meeting family. But it seems odd the Glasgow should out-price an Edinburgh pub just off Princes street (£5.50).

Came here for a drink on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Decent range of beers. Small terrace but you can only use it if you can get a table due to local rules.

I made it to a few watering holes during my stay in Glasgow, and I'd count this among the best (although I didn't stay long due to time constraints). A very good range of bottled and canned UK craft beers were available, so you can help yourself to something out of the ordinary. It does get very very crowded as... More

We visited a couple of times on our rugby weekend. Grand pub with interesting selection of gins. An good singer on Sunday evening. They have different stews,, on this particular night it was pork and black pudding. I wish I had not eaten elsewhere. The locals were welcoming and friendly particularly as Scotland had won, some with good knowledge of... More

My husband and I visited on a Sunday evening. There was a great atmosphere, unpretentious and cheery folk. Bar staff looked happy to be at their work. A band fc ukulele played who were fantastic. Brilliant night in great surroundings.

If you prefer something a little better than Tennant's etc this is the place old traditional pub in the merchant city - loads of really good, mainly local brews to choose from. A little lacking in atmosphere on this occasion. Kind of one of those well known must visit pubs.

Thank monkeyhan

We serve what we love - quality beers from around the world and high-calibre home-cooking.

We also have a passion for live music and regularly play host to some of the most talented bands in Scotland (and occasionally from farther afield).

But most importantly, we believe in a high standard of customer service - a welcoming atmosphere, attentiveness and of course, getting your pint in a timely manner (we know you're thirsty)!
