I had a fantastic meal here. Both courses were were very creative, I'd not had fish served like that before. It was also very good value for money.

Love this place. Another great meal here. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Fish cake was fab followed by crab linguine. Husband was raving about his halibut. Tablet with a cup of tea to finish off the meal is always a nice touch and the tablet is so yummy. Would highly recommend, always consistently good.

We had a delicious meal today. The food was fresh, well cooked and beautifully served. The service was first class. Book ahead thought! Many phone calls asking for a booking were refused due to the restaurant being fully booked. We will definitely be back

We visited the Fish People Cafe for the first time on 27th February. Great meal, excellent service and a very fine evening all round. Fresh fish and imaginative dishes clearly presented by someone who understands seafood and knows what they are doing!

On a cold feb afternoon after a day of sightseeing we popped in for a very early bite (4pmish). A small but perfectly formed fish cafe, elegant and inviting even at that time. We received a great welcome and had an excellent meal with nothing too much trouble, the salmon tartare with beetroot and pear was to die for! Cullen... More

A small and busy restaurant conveniently located next to the Shields Road subway station. Food was excellent - I had a fishcake starter and fish stew main course, These were accompanied by a decent Merlot and finished off with cheese and biscuits and a 10-year old port. Service was excellent and I can honestly say that the last fish restaurant... More

I really loved the herring and fried sea bass in lunch/early dinner menu, which I ordered for my 3 years wee boy. But I almost ate both of them. My husband loved cod and king prawn in special menu. I ordered sesame tuna with wasabi and ginger salad in special menu for starter, it tasted like sesame tuna sashimi. I... More

We arrived early evening to an empty restaurant and the friendly staff put us into the one table I hate by the kitchen door! As before no shell fish on the menu, you can try to pre order this we were told. The crab starters were an egg mayo mix with oily fried bread, large and tasty enough. Fish stew,... More
