The food and the service was great. I really enjoyed the music too!! It's a pity it was so quiet more people should visit.

The food was good and the service was friendly and efficient. Pity about the toilet facilities though.... a) cubicle doors wouldn't shut; b) no toilet roll as such - just strategically placed piles of hand towels on the floor of each cubicle; c) no hot water (the water was so cold it actually hurt to keep your hands in it);... Visited on a Tuesday night early January- we actually thought they were closed but the waitress welcomed us in and assured they were ready for business. it was strange sitting in a large restaurant on our own but it did mean we were the centre of attention. Have to say the food was really nice and certainly hit the mark.... More

We visited Assam's on Tuesday 17th January as this was my son's choice for his family 21st birthday dinner. When we arrived the place was empty, which was not entirely unexpected for a grey January midweek evening. We were given the choice of tables. Unfortunately there were food spillages on the table we chose. There were poppadom pieces scattered around... More

Service was appalling waiter had no training. Manager came to table with an arrogant aggressive attitude when I asked to speak to him after numerous issues. Starter was nice but onion and tomato salad had gone off complained but manager was not interested said it was freshly made day before and he had eaten it earlier that day and it... More

Met with three of my international sports colleagues for dinner at this absolutely super restaurant. Food was out of the top drawer and the staff could not have been more attentive. Personal service from the Boss himself was an added bonus and his sheer friendliness would make you want to return at the earliest opportunity. That was certainly our view.... More

I am from Assam- India and went to this place simply because of the name. The place served very good Indian food. Service is quick and reasonable priced. The place is not far from the city center.

Got there to find my friend having a debate with the owner about the wine. First off all he didn't have what we wanted, secondly when we settled on one we checked the volume and it was as low alcohol wine - they'd been too busy at the weekend and hadn't restocked - it was now Thursday. Owner brought the... More
