Hyped as a premier pub/restaurant we found it no better than average. The decor, the food, the service was all OK, but there was no "wow" factor. Many other better eateries nearby.

Hi Alistair, We appreciate you taking the time to respond. The staff at The Lauder's take our reviews very seriously. I can't say who is giving us any hype and we don't rate ourselves as a premier restaurant. Kind Regards Steven

Description
Our name dates back to 1871, when the pub was owned by whisky maker Archibald Lauder. Back then it had seven bars including a secret one upstairs, and even a barber's shop downstairs. These days we don't offer a haircut for a penny, but we do serve up a cracking pint of cask ale and plenty of tasty pub-food - all at great prices.
