Staying in Glasgow and came across Cafe Gandolfi what a find. Went for breakfast on a Sunday at 9am and the place was really busy, no wonder. The rustic interior is brilliant. The menu is extensive and the eggs Hebridean was amazing. We will revisit...More

We were presently surprised not to have to wait for a table on a Saturday morning, the waitress told us that she could give us a table but we wouldn't have to give it back around an hour later which was fine with us. Breakfast...More

Went to Cafe Gandolfi yesterday with my daughter. We felt like treating ourselves to a late breakfast and Gandolfi was absolutely the place. The staff were lovely, making sure we had everything we wanted. Neither of us could resist the temptation of stornoway black pudding...More

Travel to Glasgow for our daughter's graduation from RCS. Booked a table from the plane in Bristol. When I walked in, realised I had been at Cafe Gandolfi before. 29 years before! Eggs Hebridean, massive success! Great food, service and ambience. Well be back.

A Glasgow Institution - haven't been since I was a student. Fab décor especially the unique chairs. Food good but overpriced, and nothing you cant get elsewhere - should have a 2/3 course lunch menu during the week. More than 6 quid for deconstructed carrot...More

Description
"Deagh bhiadh, deagh bheannachd" Well fed, well blessed. It's this sense of Hebridean hospitality that makes Café Gandolfi such an incredible long standing institution in the Glasgow scene. Opened in 1979, and pioneering the Merchant City into becoming the hub of bars and restaurants that it is today, Gandolfi is a truly well loved and frequented corner of Glasgow. From the main café with its iconic Tim Stead furniture downstairs, the hidden treasure bar up in the attic boasting gorgeous cocktails and atmosphere, to the glamorously sleek Gandolfi Fish two doors up with its adjoining little sibling Fish To Go, this little section of the Merchant City looks set to continue keeping the bar toweringly high when it comes to all things good food, good wine and great hospitality.
