I have visited this restaurant before, and this visit didn't disappoint. I had the grilled pawns followed by the Shellfish Pasta, the pasta was excellent with plenty of shellfish and a very tasty sauce. The waitresses were good but one was not very customer friendly, I would say needs a little more traing, otherwise very good

Visited for dinner and met by very welcoming staff. I had the fish chowder for starters and we both had mussels for main which were very nice. The decor of the restaurant is very nice with artwork on the walls upstairs, wish I had gone up to have a look. My wife had sticky date pudding for afters which she... More

Visited for a swift lunch and wasn't disappointed. Staff were friendly and the mussels just excellent. If you are looking for a quality light bite or something more substantial, you couldn't do much better in Glasgow.

Thoroughly enjoyed. Starters of fish cakes and seafood chowder were hot, tasty, delicious. Good portion of fresh bread and butter. Mains - shallot mussels & rump steak cooked perfectly. (Personal choice - chips are chunky/small wedges I much prefer skinny fries) Followed by liqueur coffees. Perfect on a cold day after shopping. Efficient cheery service from young Italian waitress. Only negative was... More

We have been coming here for over five years. It has never disappointed. We took some friends who had never been. There is so much choice. Staff are fantastic and attentive. I had the chowder and the special trout. Superb. You should go. Book at busy times though. Favourite is just nipping in for half a kilo of fresh mussels... More

I hadn't been to this restaurant for quite some time but I recalled it as being very good. How times change................ The pre-theatre menu is a very reasonable £10.95 for two courses and I suppose that should have rung alarm bells. This is another "restaurant" serving frozen chips and I am convinced that the battered fish was also frozen as... More

Central location, wonderful staff, beautiful blue and white decor that goes with the wonderful seafood menu and best of all.. the food is great! Had the sloe gin smoked salmon which was divine and then had half a kilo of garlic and lemon cooked mussels which was unbelievable! Highly recommended for seafood lovers! Steak and veggie options available too.

Description
The Mussel Inn is one of Glasgow’s première restaurants. Despite the name, our restaurant offers a much wider variety of food than just Scottish West Coast mussels served with our unique and delicious range of sauces. Our seafood dishes also include Creamy Seafood Chowder, Grilled King Scallops and Queen Scallops, Scottish oysters, and our amazing seafood platter (Mini Seafood Platter also available).
