I love this restaurant. Food is delicious, service impeccable, really does have a local feel to it, we are semi-regular and enjoy the chat you can always have with waiting staff. I therefore only have two minor niggles - the toilets can be freezing cold and ...the price of soft drinks. That's where I have noticed the huge increase since... More

This restaurant is quickly becoming my favourite Italian. I had a pizza and it was too die for. My wife had the spaghetti meatballs and really enjoyed it, although she did mention it needed more sauce. The staff are all very attentive and the decor is very well thought through. I must if your eating out in Glasgow.

Visited here a few days ago, after wanting to visit for a long time. New decor looked great, service was good and the menu has plenty of options. Waiting staff were great also well dressed and professional. Management staff were also present that evening would be nice to see them crack a smile also for their customers. Food on the... More

First visit under new name and belated Mothers Day lunch. Decor, staff and food very good. However when my daughter asked to replace chicken with prawns in a pasta dish the additional charge was £5 for 6 prawns!! Thought this was a bit overpriced and may influence whether we return to what was a favourite restaurant.

thank you for writing a review for ORO. I can appreciate your concern at being charged extra for a substitution to a dish but I hope you will appreciate the difference in cost from chicken to King Prawns. We don't use the cheaper baby prawns, just the king size variety and the difference in price is justifiable. We offer two... More

Belle Napoli was one of my favourite restaurant's south side of the city and Saturday 8th April was my first visit since it was rebranded as Oro. My opinion of thr meal is that the starter of prawns peroni lacked flavour, the fillet steak was delightful although I thought the garnish of a half mushroom and half of an uncooked... More

Dear guest, thank you for taking the time to write a review. Its unfortunate that what was once one of your favourite restaurants has been spoiled by Saturday nights experience causing you to write a negative review. if I may say, as a regular customer there are other ways of making a point other than pulling the trigger on Tripadvisor.... Visited Oro after seeing great reviews online, wow I wasn't disappointed! I tried the 100 layer lasagne, something I have never seen before, but I could have ate about 10 portions, definitely different to any other standard lasagne you get in any typical Italian. For dolce (dessert) I had the tiramisu, I have visited Italy many times and this is... More

Thank you young sir for your generous and kind review of ORO. May I suggest respectfully that eating 10 portions of XL lasagne is not a good thing regardless of how good it may be. lol More

Wish they hadn't changed the name but never the less the quality of this place hasn't faltered from the Bella Napoli era. We visited on Sunday for a light lunch, we shared a few starters and a fab bottle of Pinot. Service was great, great window seat and quality of food and value for money was excellent. Will be back...again...and... More

Description
Glasgows pizza connoisseurs know that the best place in town to come for a knock-out Italian feast is Bella Napoli an iconic Glasgow institution on the Kilmarnock Road. With countless awards to his name, head chef Domenico Crollo took Bella Napoli over from his father in 2005, and the art of Italian cookery is in his blood. Flying to Italy to source the best flour, mozzarella and Italian wines, Crollo has created pizza perfection at Bella Napoli, and this vibrant restaurant is a must for any serious lover of great Italian food. Spread out over three levels, this welcoming venue serves everything from espressos and sandwiches to pasta, risotto, burgers, steaks and outstanding homemade puddings.
