Went to breakfast with a friend and the food was great, service was friendly. I had eggs, sausage, hash browns with Blood pudding but hold the beans.

Fresh branch, excellent flavours, super friendly service! It was worth the wait! Prepare to wait a bit as always busy and a small place!

We had a light lunch at Cafe Strange Brew midweek. The food was excellent and the quantities good. The service was fine, but, why do so many restaurants let themselves down with old, tatty, dirty menus. They seemed weeks old. It felt so bad that...we discussed leaving but sterilised our hands instead. Get this right and you will have 5 stars from us.More

I wanted to say how much I enjoyed my avocado and poached eggs with black pudding (can't remember the menu name) - it was a knockout meal. Generous portion and extremely tasty. Followed up by a gorgeous piece of chocolate and ginger cake which was...most enjoyable - moist, chocolatey and lovely creamy cheese topping. And knock out great value. About £40 for the 3 of us. We all had mains and 2 x cakes with coffee. Amazing.More

The place might not be much to look at but it is without doubt a great place to eat. The food is top notch from the breakfast stack to the fruit and pancakes. Great quality ingredients, well presented and sooo tasty. The staff are friendly,...polite and hard working. My wife and I look forward to coming here again the next time we are in Glasgow. Not to be missedMore

We go to cafe strange brew for takeaways most Sundays (as the sit in is usually extremely busy) and after maybe, 15-20 take outs and a few sit ins, I can definitely add my two pence. This is a good, good breakfast place. Consistently good....We’ve yet to have something and go “Meh!”, highly recommended a visit if you’re in the south side.More

Hey. Nope the baking powder is in a small plastic tub, which we go through at least 2 a week, so not possible it has expired either.
