Had tea, scones, cakes and coffees. We all enjoyed the atmosphere, friendly service, delicious bakes and fresh scones. The cappuccinos were excellent too.

Great place for lunch. It does get busy so might have to wait, but there is a great shop next door to browse.

We discovered this gem two years ago on our way to Kingussie and didn't want to stop at the usual cafe in Aviemore because of poor waiting time on being seated and on food reaching the table. The Druie is situated as you come to...More

Had a lovely lunch here with family. Soup and sandwiches were tasty and really fresh. We were able to sit outside which was a bonus. Really busy wee pit stop but worth the wait.

Came here twice on our Aviemore trip. Tried the Cullen skink and it was delicious and came for a hot chocolate another time~ also good. Busy place but there's outdoor seating too if it's dry. Attached to a nice shop also.

We stopped in here for lunch in passing as we went through Aviemore on our way to the Trossachs. It was too busy to sit inside but we were lucky with the weather and managed to nab a table outside. The staff are friendly (and...More

The Druie's outside tables are in a safe, walled area in front of Rothiemurchus Centre and are enjoyed by many dogs and their owners. They have the same menu and service as the tables inside. Only guide dogs can go into the... More

Description
The Druie takes its name from the burn(river) that rushes behind the restaurant and always seems in a hurry to carry clear, sparkling mountain water from the Cairngorms to the River Spey. We are open daily 9.30am - 5.00pm for locally roasted coffee, locally sourced tasty lunches, leaf teas and delicious homemade cakes, with a focus on dishes prepared from lovingly home produced beef from our pedigree herd of Highland cattle, our velvety venison from the ancient forest of Rothiemurchus and seasonal produce from specialist producers, served in a relaxed, friendly environment. Whilst enjoying your coffee or lunch at the Druie, you can enjoy the exhibition of local artwork which changes each month, especially selected by Ellie, who manages the Gallery at Loch an Eilein and is also a member of Creative Cairngorms.
