Had a very good meal at Bord de L'eau. Good menu with many fish dishes. Friendly service. Highly recommended.

- We had two courses with wine which came to approx £35 per head - the food itself tasted fine but came in very small portions with very little in the way of accompanying veg/sides - After leaving the restaurant we immediately had to go...More

What a unexpected pleasure it was to find this restaurant tucked away in Wick. The service, food and atmosphere were just perfect. My partner was tempted by the frogs legs (that in itself was a surprise) they were perfectly cooked and utterly delicious. The menu...More

Pretty pricey food, with good service, and minimal wait. Food was nice enough and quite plentiful but not exactly gourmet

Number 1 in Wick isn't that impressive when you take into account the competition but that doesn't tell the full story. Bord de L'Eau was probably the best food cooked to perfection we have had in Scotland and not just on this visit either. Having...More

The mere fact that such a superior restaurant has not only survived but flourished for years in Wick attests to its quality. From the outside there is no pretension and even inside on the wooden conservatory, while there is an obvious French theme, there is...More

Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food in this, one of the most northerly towns in the mainland UK. The food was faultless and absolutely delicious. The service was friendly. Just be aware, the food is cooked to order, so service seems to...More

The Chef is French, the interior is French, the atmosphere is french, so the food is more than tasty and prettily served. Our choice was frog's legs as a starter-incredible, lobster for dinner- the best we ever tasted, the venison on blueberry sauce. try everything!

This restaurant is hidden on the riverfront and well worth the effort to find it. It doesn't boast about it's prescence which makes it a bit of an enigma. The conservatory eating area is beautiful and the inside area is classy. I tried the mussels...More

Do you allow dogs on the outdoor patio?

Response from Larkins2014 | Reviewed this property |
There isn't an outdoor patio. There is a disabled ramp/pathway and I am sure your dog would be welcome there but not inside
Where can I find a menu? There doesn't seem to be one online. I found a Facebook page bit no webpage. Thanks

We only read the reviews so didn't see the menu until we got there but I would highly recommend it.
