This is really nice place in Inverness. Had a very good lunch at a great price. Staff were excellent. As good as anything in the other cities.

As stated in the title, we can't praise the staff highly enough for the work they do and produce. We're looking forward to our next visit.

After several previous attempts to eat here on earlier visits we finally managed it and weren't disappointed. Delicious food in modest servings enabled us to enjoy great tastes without feeling we had overeaten. Lovely ambiance and attractive decor and friendly efficient service combine to create...More

The Mustard Seed restaurant in Inverness is perfectly placed near the River Ness and our upstairs window table gave us a good view. The place is very popular and booking seems to be advisable but, despite being warned that our table would be needed in...More

It's a nice place. The food is good, reasonably priced and judging by the number of people there, very popular. Four rather than five stars? It's busy. The staff is moving fast and I had a sense that our table needed to be cleared for...More

The food was very rich and elegant, but the menu needs to have some more vegetarian options. Cheers!

Enjoyed the meal at the Mustard Seed for lunch. I chose the two course lunch with a delicious beet salad and the beef casserole. The server was attentive and described the dishes and where the food came from as it was freshly delivered. Would recommend...More

Hello, yes, contact the restaurant and they will advise. If I mind correctly there were two GF starters and two GF mains, since I did not have dessert I cannot comment. The only downside is they do not have gluten-free bread.

Description
Open since 1995, the simple cooking and warm, friendly atmosphere has allowed The Mustard Seed to become one of Inverness’s favourite restaurants. The Location on the banks of the River Ness in a converted church building is simply stunning and helps create the wonderful ambience. The transformation from disused church to restaurant created a unique space; with a double-height ceiling and magnificent open log fire. Many of the original period features were retained and combined with a mix of natural and modern finishes. The addition of the terrace on the top floor allows alfresco dining and uninterrupted views of the River, another amazing asset for the restaurant.
