One of my favourite places in the area. Great food and excellent service. With the open fire, especially cosy in the winter, but also a lovely area to sit outside in the summer. Love the fish bake.

Had lunch with my cousin today at Cawdor Tavern. The food was exceptional. The bread is to die for. The whole meal was one of the best I’ve had in ages. The staff are really friendly and efficient. Well done Arlene and co.

We were surprised at how good the food was at this slightly out of the way country restaurant in Cawdor. Great vibe and delicious beers. Highly recommended.

First night of a family holiday got off to a poor start here. Slow to take our order and then even slower - forty five minutes - to produce the three meals. The meals were then brought out slowly, one at a time, by a...More

Near to Cawdor Castle outside of Inverness. A restaurant with plenty of character and well presented food to make for an enjoyable meal. Worth the visit.

Called in for a drink after being out and about the surrounding area for the day. A good selection of beers on offer and the usual gins and wines now expected. Booked a table for an evening meal later in the week which was fine....More

A beautiful old tavern, good food and friendly service made this a really nice lunchtime experience. I tried the ciabatta role with tempura anchovies - a really interesting and tasty combination

Great afternoon spent with great friends. Food as ever was plentiful, well presented and most enjoyable. The staff were a little thin on the floor and time waiting for service was impacted a little. This would however not deter me from returning or recommending this...More

What a delightful Steak and Ale pie, truly delicious with more than ample tender steak and trimmings, very filling. Partner, Fish and Chips, lovely crispy batter and well cooked fish a delight to eat. Just a super old worldly place, staff very very pleasant and...More

We have been here on many occasions but would have to say we were disappointed this evening. Service was slow and other than the owner a smile seemed to be a bit of a struggle to produce. But biggest disappointment was the fish and chips....More

Dogs are really welcome in the bar, not the restaurant. We never found it a problem at all, in fact the bar was quieter and cooler as it has French doors to the patio.
