The cafe was very busy when we visited and table available was cold and not in a great position. The food was good but nothing special. There are better places for lunch in Perth

I don't think Reid's was a stand out, but the soup was good and the coffee tasty. Definitely a place to have a break from walking around.

Been to Reid's a number of times and the quality of food and standard of service has always been very good. Same observation as other diners regarding the spacing of the tables. Just a bit small and too close together otherwise it would have been 5 stars. Would definitely recommend.

A busy restaurant is a good indication of a places popularity however it should not be so busy as to feel crowded. Unfortunately this is the case at Reid's. There are to many tables and chairs for such a small venue. This creates a chaotic atmosphere in which it is difficult to relax. This is a shame since the food... More

Had a lovely lunch here- wide variety on the menu and helpful staff. Breakfast options on the menu looked great too! Seating was slighting cramped but wouldn't put me off returning again as it is in a great location at the bottom of Perth High Street! Thanks

We were wandering around Perth and came across Reid's cafe at the end of High street. Went in and thought hmmmmm. looks kind of like a coffee shop. Not... They had very good wine, a delightful cold sliced meat with bread and extras for lunch. It turns out it was homey and friendly. Prompt service, excellent flavors. A good place... More

Happened upon Reid's by chance last week. Decided to have breakfast I don't eat beans and was offered an alternative of extra egg and bacon. All very good tasty sausage and black pudding. Liked it so much we went back again on Saturday. Excellent good service and staff, nice surroundings as well.

Reid's Cafe and Bistro opened in July 2010 and is privately owned by locals Alan and Allison Ovenstone who continue to take an active role in day-to-day operations of the vibrant venue. Located in the City's busy High Street, Reid's is open 7 days a week and serves locally sourced produce, beef from a local award-winning butcher, breads and a selection of home baking produced freshly at Reid's. You'll receive a warm Perth welcome from the friendly staff and can choose from an extensive breakfast menu, fabulous cups of fresh coffee in the mornings and afternoons, and lunch or tea from the All Day Menu. A "Daily Specials Board" offers some tempting options over the lunch period and Reid's is regularly buzzing in the middle of the day. The outside seating terrace has an enviable position on the main commercial High Street, cornering St John Street, full of independent retailers, and opposite George Street which leads to the Perth Museum & Art Gallery. Reid's is an ideal place to come & enjoy home cooking with flair & passion, whether its breakfast, lunch or coffee, our large menu & specials board should tempt you in. The team pride themselves on serving you freshly prepared food in the tastiest way possible.
