I visited Fern Cottage for lunch a few weeks ago. It is situated just off the high street, and has a lovely location. There was only the set menu on offer, but since they were not busy, they cooked from the al a carte menu for me. The fish with risotto was very good. The quality excellent. Probably one of... More

The salmon and chorizo kebab doesn't look like it should work, but it really does! Lovely. Interesting combinations which are also good. Dark lighting and I would say inappropriate for children.

Having gluten free food wasn't a problem at all. The owner came and explained the menu in detail so I could eat with confidence. The food was lovely.

Really nice food, good quality and great portion sizes. House white wine wasn't great so better to spend a bit more Venison was mostly cooked pink but a little over at the end so a little inconsistent but really tasty Service was excellent, friendly and attentive Just a tad expensive

My wife and I enjoyed a fabulous dining experience at this quant restaurant. You have to experience the food to appreciate how good it is. Unfortunately, I ordered a bottle of wine which was not available, due to it being low season; however our attentive waitress offered the only bottle of the same wine, which had had a thimble full... Nice on a sunny day to sit on the terrace, have a coffee and watch the world go by. Could do with a slightly wider variety on the menu, but, worth a visit.

Visited for pre theatre dinner on Saturday. Really good food and wine in delightful surroundings and charming staff including a new waitress being very well schooled in the art of good service. Will certainly return.

The food was local produce and dishes were a variety of traditional and new takes on the old. Whilst the food was good, the service was slow, even though they promote themselves for pre-theatre meals, and there were a few mistakes.

Looked at this restaurant on the internet before we left for the weekend in Pitlochry and it didn't disappoint. Four three course meals and only one slight complaint (lamb on the kebab was a bit fatty) Would visit this restaurant again if i am back in town.
