Stopped in here early Friday evening as a treat for my wife who has coeliac disease. This chipper has a selection of gluten free items available to order at any time - unlike many shops which offer one night a month. I ordered a King Rib supper whilst my wife had a gluten free fish supper - they even offered... More

Having coeliac disease my daughter has never experienced fish and chips before due to the general lack of understanding of cross-contamination at most restaurants/takeaways. We ordered her a gf fish supper from The Plaice to Be and she loved it! The rest of the family had non-gf meals and all enjoyed them equally as much. High quality fish cooked extremely... More

Great to be able to get GF fish and chips but to be honest, they weren't as good as I expected after reading the reviews. The fish was very watery, chips were fine. I've had better GF. I wouldn't be put off trying them again, I think it was a trainee that cooked ours and that may have been the... More

We visited the plaice to be whilst in Pitlochry yesterday. The gluten free fish and chips were amazing !!! The non gluten free dishes looked great too and there was no left overs (even from my 4 yr old). Very friendly and helpful staff too. Already looking forward to going back !!

The best part was the chips. We had battered fish, breaded fish, pizza, white and haggis puddings which were all over cooked, kids couldn't eat the pizzas. Check your order before you leave, I was looking forward to my potatoe fritters that were getting cooked to order but when I got back to caravan they weren't in the bag.

Visited on 1 April at teatime. Big order had just come in and the guy in charge was right on it! ' Jackie! Take nae orders fir the next 10 minutes' he barked out orders both to staff and fearful customers until his 36 supper order was done! Pure entertainment. . Oh and the fish was the best I have... We will be hitting the gym soon as we are home but it was well worth it! Best chippy ever! Cooked fresh to order, not dried up or greasy... we cancelled our dinner reservations in the hotel (east haugh house) just to try this place. Was definitely the correct choice! I had the veggie burger supper and my boyfriend had... More
