Finally managed to visit Peggy's tearoom and must admit it was a real treat. The spacious car park to the rear lets you see the real attention to detail of the buildings and gardens. The interior has been tastefully finished to a high standard and the place is very welcoming. We were greeted and seated by very friendly staff and... More

Popped in for tea and cake. Ended up having panini's as well. Greeted on entry by very pleasant staff, attentive and helpful. Goats cheese and pesto panini was good as was the chicken, brie and cranberry. They came with a delicate side salad and some crisps. Nicely presented and tasted really good. The biggest meringue and banoffee pie followed with... More

lovely food and great staff. The breakfast is fabulous but if you are too late for that then the platters are delicious. Desserts are so good - you need to give it a try.

Have been here loads of time as I stay local and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. People must remember it is a tea room not an actual restaurant. The cakes in this place are to die for. The breakfast is served up to 11am and it is the best around. It is top quality products and it is all... More

Went here today on the recommendation of a friend. What a wonderful lunch we had. Tearoom light and airy, staff attentive and speedy, but the FOOD.....just delicious and beautifully presented.

Having visited Peggy's Tearoom many times since it opened my husband, daughter and I thought it would be a nice holiday treat to go for lunch. What a mistake! The tearoom has recently been moved from it's original location to within Souter Johnnie's Inn. The reasons behind this I don't know but it certainly hasn't been to improve things. The... More

My friend had read in her local paper about Peggy's tearoom and wanted to check it out. We went for elevenses and were impressed by both choice and service. Our biggest complaint was that it was very busy but that is surely a good problem! We also enjoyed browsing in the giftshop upstairs. They had some of the usual stuff... More

We stopped in whilst travelling South on A77 to have a look around and a drink. The place is really nicely done as you'd expect from a Costly venue. Coffee, milkshake and millionaire shortbread were all great - we even got a bit of sunshine whilst sitting outside in the garden centre area. The service was OK but one of... More

A number of people had suggested a visit to Kirkoswald to see this development that has done a superb job of bringing back to life the heart of a run down village with strong Robert Burns connections. A great pity about the disgraceful state of Souter Johhnie's Cottage - but that's down to others to fix. The Peggy's Tearoom buildings... More
