This was the first time I've used this restaurant. It was quite busy for a weekday lunch time. The decor is lovely, very rustic. Nice atmosphere and reasonably priced lunchtime menue. The food was hot and very tasty. Only complaint would be that the poor girl waiting the tables was on her own and rushed off her feet. We had to wait quite a long time for our main meal, we felt that they received more custom than they usually get and were not prepared for it but that is the only fault we could find.

Glad to be back!

I'm so happy to be back, these boys are doing such a great job. The food is 10 out of 10 as always have been, service is great and they have such lovely staff, although sometimes it can be very busy the staff never forgets to check on you. I think I have tried everything from the menu and I can tell you I was surprised every single time. Very hard to make a decision from all that variety of goodies. Today I had POLLO MILANESE with Tagliatelle, Chef Donny served it with Aurora sauce, it was absolutely insane. Such a great place and I'm so happy that they opened after the pandemic. Definitely worth a visit and I promise you will not regret it. All the best.

Dinner review

1st time at this place as I had heard so many good reviews. Waitress was 100% lovely and really friendly. I asked if I could change the chicken stroganoff to beef and the owner was called over and was so friendly saying yes nothing is a problem. Food came was lovely absolutely no faults. When I asked for the bill I then realised I was charged an extra £8 for the change off meat. Wasn't told this at any point. I'm afraid this has totally put my off a return visit

A small, reasonably good restaurant

A small, reasonably good restaurant in a poor location as it’s surrounded by the derelict, decaying buildings from a more prosperous Hamilton town centre era. We had stroganoff and pasta dishes. All were cooked well and served promptly. The focaccia was a wee bit thick and slightly soggy/spongy for my liking. The sea salt and rosemary was also a little sparse. I’d describe the food as being of a similar standard to good home cooking. Cost was c£20 per head for a shared starter, main course, soft drink and coffee.

Worst experience ever

Restaurant almost empty and still 25min to take our order and an hour to give us our starters, staff inexperienced, didn't know the menu, gave us new drinks but didn't collect the empty glasses but the worst part? The food. My husband left all his pasta in the plate was unbearable level spicy and we are used to Indian/Mexican level, told the lady and she laughed and said that yes the food was spicy and did nothing about it. Then we ask for the bill and they took almost 15min to give us? And then, when we went to the till to pay they ask us to sit and wait and this took another 8min to give me the bill. Left the place hungry, unsatisfied and angry for the money and the 2h of my life that I lost.

Delicious food, insightful service

Stopped by for a meal as staying in the Premier Inn at the end of the road. Were there before 7pm, allowing us to take advantage of the 'pre-theatre' menu - 2 courses for £14.95. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, it was served promptly - allowing for time to be made fresh. Additionally, our lovely waitress, Donna was absolutely on the ball suggesting she bring our 5 yr old's starter and main at the same time as our starters, which worked perfectly. The child's portions were HUGE, with enough for lunch (for 2?!) which they kindly offered to box up for us. The portions for us adults were just right, leaving us well filled. Would absolutely eat here again.

First visit this year and have to say the best meal yet ( if that’s possible ) . Service as always exceptional and decent value for money The 4 of us were so full after our starters , gamberoni fritti, meatballs scallops and calamari all amazing but we managed our fillet steaks chicken and pasta . And several wines and beers . Just fabulous

We were in the area overnight never having been before so not knowing what was around. An internet search turned this place up so we thought we’d give it a go. We were so glad we did. The food was absolutely fantastic. The dishes were well cooked, delicious, very generous portions and excellent value for money. The service was friendly and efficient. If we are ever in the area again we will most definitely be back

Yet another visit to Gusti after some time. You cannot go wrong with this place. They maintain high standards, staff friendly and efficient and good quality food. Typical Italian dishes reasonably priced, particularly set menus are of great value for your money. I Will visit again.

Having asked the young lady in the reception at our hotel were there was a nice Italian restaurant she didn’t hesitate to recommend this place, even going as far as ringing up and booking us a table. We arrived before our time and were shown to a table all spaced out nicely (Covid) I had the spaghetti Frutti Di Mare which I can 100% recommend in fact there was too much for myself and hubby had to finish it for me. Although we paid by card and wanted to put a tip on, the waiting person said that if we did this unfortunately the staff don’t receive the tips, SO PLEASE TAKE CASH.

Disappointing Meal

First time in the restaurant with family but unlikely we will return. The food was average and service was not good and I cannot understand how this restaurant has so many good reviews. Initially the restaurant was not busy but a party of around 8 men came in who were clearly friends of the owners and they received a lot of attention and service from the male chef/proprietors, but only had coffees. We spent £80 on a meal and received bad service as the poor waitress was left to run up and down waiting on the rest of the tables on her own whilst the others spoke to their friends. The pizzas and focaccia were undercooked as the base was blond/white meaning they were not cooked and were doughy and soggy, it looked like they had just been grilled. Shame as the taste was ok.

Worst restaurant in Hamilton

I attended the restaurant tonight 15/08/22 and was initially shocked that the table was sticky and my cutlery was stuck to the table. We ordered penne pasta with chicken. The meal was bland and we asked for Parmesan cheese only to be told that it ran out the day previously and the waitress did not know when it would be delivered again. My wife said that she was disappointed and suggested that Asda was a few minutes walk away and she would have though that I would have made sense to have someone buy some cheese to supply until the delivery arrives. The waitress shrugged her shoulders and said that it was not her fault. The whole meal was poor, chicken pollo was pink in section and not off the standard expected. The accompanying chips were reheated. Overall a poor experience and we will never return.

Thanks for great service & food

Myself and 22 parents and kids were over last weekend from Belfast on a mini rugby tour and booked for dinner on Friday night. The booking process online and over the phone sorting deposits was very straightforward and the staff couldn't be more helpful. On the night, all the travelling party's food was ordered quickly, arrived at the same time and was of the highest quality. Everyone really enjoyed their food ( and drinks ! ) and we couldn't recommend this restaurant highly enough. Unfortunately this is our last tour but the cclub plan to be over the coming years and I expect them to be booking for their groups. Thanks again !

Great night

First time coming for dinner and we’ll definitely be back. Julia was very bubbly and enthusiastic recommending various dishes and telling us about the specials. We ordered veal and spaghetti and it did not disappoint, it was lovely. We decided to sit outside after our meal and Donna who’s shift had ended came and sat with us. What a friendly place, I loved that the staff take time to get to know their customers and making everyone feel at home, I wish more places were like this. I can’t wait to come back. Top class service all round, thank you for making our night special. Best of luck on your wedding Donna, I can’t wait to hear all about it and see the photos next time I’m in.

OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE

We have visited gusti a few times now and have yet to find a fault in both the food and customer service. Tonight we were served by a wonderful young lady Julia who went over and above for us - and she makes a cracking wee cocktail as well. Great work darling keep that smile on your face. We ordered prawn starters and steak mains both cooked to perfection. My husband is a head chef and had only positive feedback which is rare. Amazing work guys will be back soon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
