Stayed at CDM's b&b, very homely, and ate at their bar accross the road, excellent service, family run, stayed there twice in recent years, the food is homemade and wholesome, and the portions were huge!

Fantastic grub here and Mary was soooooo helpful to me as i kayaked around Ireland with lots of friendly banter from her and the student staff. The soup and scones were excellent and the sea food first rate. This place is a must though as has been said the photo of charlie Haughie is going a little far !! lol... More

Mary and her staff genuinely were happy to see us. We loved the cold fresh seafood platter with brown scones - just a fantastic memory sitting outside enjoying the peace of the island. The quietness of Cape clear is not like any other.... This bar has a limited menu but yet has enough to choose from and is good value... More

After spending the day exploring the island there is only two things a Man needs 1. A decent Pint and 2. A good feed and CDM delivers both with a friendly smile and a warm touch We stayed two nights on the Island and ate here both nights. For me with the crystal blue sea's the only thing I wanted... I returned to Cape this July and was not disappointed. My last trip was in June 2011 and I really enjoyed it. This time as the last the food in Ciaran Danny Mike's sustained us through the visit. We ate fish, steak, pork, salads on different nights all were served with lovely spuds, fresh veg and salad. My only gripe... More

We went to clear island and the views were exceptional ......unfortunately the pub was not open but we were out of season, but visited the lovely cafe near the harbour and enjoyed a lovely cup of tea, with freshly home made soup with bread. Would recommend a visit to the island for pure relaxation and photographic opportunities.....and hopefully a Guinness... More

Pretty much the only pub on the Island. But still, hearty grub and friendly staff. Very comfortable atmosphere. Indoors, outdoors, Firplace, Games. Even a tiny spot for wifi.

We ate here, dinner was between 7pm and 9pm, initially we thought the menu was limited, but WOW dont be put off, the food was lovely, homemade and the best thing was they did not do chips, great. Lovely local veg, potatoes. Lovely family feeling, people playing chess, and having a great time. They even have WiFi !

We had a lovely meal here one night. The added bonus of playing cards, board games and lots of books to read helped to make the night. Well done
