My mum and I called into the poets corner for a bite of lunch one day recently. We found a table in a quiet corner and settled down with the menus. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. The food was excellent quality and served in quick time. Al in all a lovely time spent with Mum in relaxed surroundings,... More

A favourite with locals. Great traditional music at night and very good bar food right up until 9pm. The very best vol au vonts in town hands down. Great portions too

The Poets Corner is the bar belonging to the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis. They have been serving fantastic good value bar food for years. Its always busy so you may have a small wait for a table in the evenings but the staff are very friendly and will come get you as soon as a table free's up. Simple... More

A real authentic Irish pub that is attached to the premier hotel in Ennis, The Old Ground. Good food and drinks and known to have great pop-up musicians. Unfortunately none played the night of our visit.

I ordered a quiche which was blatantly warmed up in a microwave and was notably tasteless. My mother ordered an open bread salmon sandwich with what I can only... More

Enjoyed the night with a Lovely traditional music session in the corner. Lively tunes from the local musicians and the bar staff were friendly and efficient.

Have been there regularly and have found the service and the food excellent each visit. It is a busy restaurant but the food is good each time.

The poets corner is historically interesting and very beautiful in terms of decor. There are lots of quiet corners to tuck into, lovely portraits on the walls and it is very busy with visitors but a real hot spot for locals as well. Good pub food and full bar. Staff is young. It's attached to the lovely Old Ground Hotel.... More
