My first visit to the Johnos was a busy night with an Irish rugby game on TV. The staff helped us find a seating table for my friends and I, even though it was crowded. They had a special event with Guinness that night, thus we all had a free pint, which is the most welcoming you can expect! It's... More

We usually go here for breakfast on a Saturday morning as a treat. Great menu, with things like Irish Breakfast, French toast, Eggs Benedict with Salmon. The Irish Breakfast comes with tea or coffee and loads of toast so make sure you are hungry! Great service. Very professional.

Super friendly staff. Very nice and relaxing setting. Great food for breakfast lunch and dinner. Limited parking spaces but plenty metered parking across the road.

We went here for a Sunday lunch, only to be told as our food was on its way out nearly, they had basically run out of everything we were served a poor excuse for a Sunday lunch ! ( even no Yorkies, to a Yorkshire man that's a big insult! My lad was gutted to say the least!) Typical example... More

I saw your review a week ago but took my time to respond as I was so livid at your misrepresentation of what occurred when you visited, It's was a busy Jazz Weekend Sunday and the only thing we ran out of was Yorkshire puddings,(its more of an add on in these parts) you were advised this before your meal... Visited for breakfast for 4 mornings while staying in Douglas last week and every morning the breakfast was hot and plentiful. We were asked if we required more tea and given a choice of brown or white toast. The staff are all so friendly and we were made welcome each morning. The bar is spacious and very comfortable. We will... More

I will never set foot in this bar again. We had booked a birthday party for a family member and the bouncers flat out refused to let some of the people in. The reason was that one of the group had "too much to drink" despite the fact that this person was not drinking that night. When this was pointed... More

We have had breakfast here on a number of occasions, but our last experience left us a but disappointed, we ordered our usual breakfast but as I can't eat eggs I asked for an extra hash brown instead I was told there was no mixing and matching, I said I have got this before, and was told again there is... Glad you enjoyed the food , but sorry you did not enjoy the customer experience. A while back we changed our menu to allow customers build their own breakfast,we found this eradicated mistakes between floor staff and kitchen and in all has been very positive change for us.we find that is easier for customers to just build their own breakfast... Great food, large portions, helpful staff a fantastic place. Went on a Sunday evening the bar over the road had stopped serving food, went to O'Sullivans by chance and it was fantastic we had fish of the day and a steak sandwich. Staff were great with us and the kids will go again.

I liked the food, the atmosphere was nice, the service was friendly and professional, but we paid restaurant prices for a very simple pub meal.
