Had been looking for a nice and quick fish and chips meal and this is exactly what you get at the Fish Wife. Really generous serving of fish and chips - couldn't even eat it all - served fresh and hot, everything tasted good, though I've had better before - perhaps it was a bit too greasy. If you eat... Our taxi driver recommended we try this fish and chip shop and we were so glad we did. The fish is so fresh and absolutely delicious. The portions are on the large size, but we managed to finish it all.

Went here for fish and chips on a Sunday night. The food was freshly cooked and very tasty. A welcome change from the other take aways surrounding it.

Had a lovely dinner at this establishment. For a reasonable price for a large portion fish and chips that could feed two. The Fish Wife does not limit themselves to fish but has burgers and onion rings as well and a lot more. A great place to sit down next to someone and just chat. Met some locals there and... More

In town for one day with my family. Walked to this place, ordered the smoked haddock with chips. Went across the street to Cork Arms Pub, ordered two beers and my food was delivered. Played pool with my family while we devoured our amazing meal. There is no place (or like two seats) to sit in the place, but the... More

Best chips to get in Cork City centre with a place on Mac Curtain street and a newly opened place by the English Market. An actual bag of chips in cork is a rare sight. You can pop across to the pub while you wait for your food and enjoy a pint! Fish is fantastic and they have the best... More

The Fish Wife is a new Take away on the Cork scene. the Fish Wife prides itself on quality locally sourced fresh food. Burgers are produced daily by the local butcher. Chips are cut daily in the shop and fish are sourced locally. Specials vary depending on availabilty. Shop is charming, quirky and homely. Small but cute!!
