Ate here while staying in the hotel. Ate in library section which was lovely & quaint however we missed the buzz from the main restaurant & the people watching. Waiting staff friendly & efficient. Duck terrine starter a little bland but ham hock & black pudding starter delicious. Main of sea bass has far too much sauce over it -... More

The food was very average, presentation average, at these prices you expect something out of the ordinary but this reminded me of what you would expect at a conference dinner. The restaurant is poorly lit but on the plus side had nice staff and comfortable chairs

Very disappointed with the dinner here, was so looking forward to eating in here. Found the food to be very bland and the portions were very small also. The staff were lovely & the restaurant itself is lovely.

I've lived in Ireland over 20 years and I had been to the Perrotts restaurant a long time ago for lunch. Hubby is a cork man and never been! So first opportunity without the kids in a while and we went together. We would say we were "foodies". We hunt out the best restaurants whenever we're abroad. I checked reviews... More

What a pleasant way to spend a Friday afternoon. I ordered the free range chicken, which was succulent on the inside yet crispy on the outside, accompanied by a bean and chorizo mix that was the perfect tangy and spicey foil for the buttery meat. My dining partners ordered sea bass (extremely fresh and cooked to perfection), and a steak.... More

We finished our Ireland visit with a beautiful dining experience at Perrotts Garden Bistro, inside of Hayfield Manor. The food was gourmet. The service, superb. This is a hidden gem in Cork! Thank you to John Burchill for making us all feel so special!

It was a nice quiet atmosphere. We were well attended to. The breads are made in house. We had the traditional Christmas turkey and ham lunch. It was very tasty and I enjoyed the dressing, squash, Brussel sprouts and potatoes. The table next to us had some apparent celebrities, but we didn't recognize them. The staff about fell over each... We came back to the Hotel because we had enjoyed an excellent meal about a year ago. But oh what a change! To put it mildly , the food was bland to tasteless and very overpriced. My daub of beef was just flat, my wifes fish was much the same. Good ingredients, done to death! You cannot charge these prices... More

very disappointed, booked a table for a bday, they added a chair that didn't match the other chairs looked very shoddy, The food was very average and disappointing, chewy duck, tender but tasteless venison and the chicken colour just didn't look right - the wine ad dessert was the best and attentive staff, with cozy atmosphere out in the lobby...
