On the recommendation of our hotel reception staff we walked down to this location for a late breakfast. Not sure what time they start breakfast but it's served until 11.30am. The food was great, hot and plenty of it!

The Halfway House always holds a warm welcome for its customers. The staff are most friendly and service is swift. Interestingly most of the senior staff have been there for as long as I can remember, this reflects well on the establishment and ownership and indeed the staff themselves. Bar food is good and wholesome with generous portions. Drinks are... More

Popped in for the obligatory Guinness on the recommendation of the receptionist at my hotel. So impressed I returned the following evening for a meal. Beautiful and comfortable bars. One has the traditional high seating and the "Public" has several sports screens. We ate in the snug, which was very comfortable. Staff were great, smiling and attentive without being intrusive.... This place is one of the best I've tried! The house looks like old and has a very original decoration. It's vast, nice, the food is amazing and the team particularly friendly! I really recommend it ;D

I had the pleasure of living near to this for a while where you can not argued with the the quality of the meat . The roast beef is such a nice quality cut and cooked perfectly and the mash is beautiful. Thank you for all the quality meals I had on my own and with family visiting .

Call by for lunch. Good atmosphere exists and the staff are friendly. I had the turkey from the carvery. Chap/Chef serving was chatty and pleasant as we're the till staff. Quality of food was good and I would have no hesitation revisiting this establishment.
