I recently purchased a sandwich on thin white bread in Olive Green on Lower Baggot Street and returned to the office to eat same, only to discover that the bread was stale. I returned to the shop to be told that it was yesterday's bread, so more or less what did I expect. I did not like the attitude of... More

I usually go to the Spar across the road if I want a sandwich or something hot to eat but as I was a little late the queue was out the door so I notice Olive Green was pretty empty...eh...I can totally see why. I ordered a bagel, with egg mayo, swiss cheese, spinach leaves & red onion & when... More

Found this little establishment while staying across the street in the Grand Canal Hotel. Excellent yummy choices for sandwiches, soups and deserts. We sat outside in the small front courtyard seating area. Lovely little find for a quick lunchtime stop.

Quite expensive by my account. maybe I don't conform to the socio-economic status quo in the area. Nonetheless, I was impressed by the hot chocolate I received in shop. It was a quiet day when I went in, only two other customers. But the lack of customers didn't seem to bother me. I feel grand on my phone zipping through... More

I haven't been in a while and went back as it always looks a little quiet and I like to support local business. It's easy now to see why people go elsewhere. I ordered a sandwich, which was nice but nothing to set it apart from Spar across the road. There was no queue so I'll gladly pay the extra... More

Olive Green is a much better option for lunch in this area compared to Spar/ O'Briens. I usually get the salad box or a quiche with salad. Portions are a good size, ingredients always taste fresh and there's a good choice of salads. I love the brocolli/ carrot/ peanut salad. Counter staff are not always the friendliest but the man... the food is nice but the space is very cramped and the service is terrible.the coffee isn't great either and the tops of the take away cups don't fit so it spills if you get a coffee to go. They dropped my lunch on the ground last time I was there and were genuinely surprised when i asked for a... More

I have been here a couple of times. I have had the lasagne and side salad and also the salad box. I would recommend anyone to try the salad box as you can put a couple of salads together. The choice of salads are great with at least 8-9 to choose from. My friend is a fan of the cauliflower... More
