Very friendly staff lovely food , very comfortable, good range of drinks and food, segregated seating areas. Don't understand why the place was not busier. Would definitely recommend to others. Thank you very much.

Down from Northern Ireland for the night and took my partner to Madigans. I was excited to take her as I had come here alot while down working in the film industry and found the staff, food and service top notch. On this occasion however,...it missed the mark. American tourists sat all around us and were treated like they were John F. Kennedy or Barack Obama. We, however, might as well been called the Cromwells. Items missing from our order, my girlfriends steak? small, dry and tougher than Ghandi's flip flop. The pints were great that's what gets two stars. A shame, used to love the place.More
Middle of the road- fish and chips were good. Especially the fish. Came out piping hot- chips ok, salad meh- service sub-par- ambiance fine. 3 stars is how I see it.
Tried this pub after reading some other reviews. Very handy being next to the hotel where I was staying. Fancied a pub meal without trailing down to Temple Bar. Good selection of food. Was there on a Thursday and Friday evening. There were others in...but not too crowded and no problem getting a table on spec. The Guinness was good if a little on the pricy side. Food was excellent, especially the fruit crumble. So good in fact I returned the next evening for a second round!More
Ordered a "Reuben". It was no more a Reuben than a toasted cold slaw with slither of corned beef sandwich. For 13.95 Euro it is outrageous. To add insult to injury A Euro was added for a small glass of water. Rip off Dublin is...right. I won't be back.More
Really good food with a great menu choice and reasonable prices. Service was friendly. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Will return.
Popped in late on a Monday night shortly after arrival in Dublin, starving and tired. It was pretty empty. The staff were excellent and very friendly. I had a stew which was lovely and warmed me up nicely. Also a lovely bottle of red wine.
Needed somewhere near the hotel to eat and this place was ideal. Both of us ordered Baileys Coffees which were lovely as was the food. My dinner was Guinness Beef Stew which I really enjoyed while my partner opted for the Chicken. Better still the...staff were very friendly. Recommended.More
The breakfast was to die for. The sausages were amazing...white puddings were so tasty. Cannot fault one thing. The girls were so welcoming and helpful. Will deffo come again
Spent 4 nights in Dublin with family and lucky enough to visit Madigan's the first night, and ended up there every night or day after! Great food, the Guinness is easy drinking (copious pints drunk!), but above all the service is above and beyond as...well fun! Live music on last night (Thursday) was a treat, requests and dancing and singing made for a great last night in Dublin. Special shout out to Meghan (apologies for spelling!?) who spent plenty of time looking after us and kept us Aussies entertained! Highly recommend you visit Madigan's!More
This is a wonderful, traditional Irish pub. Great atmosphere, superb food and attentive service from all the staff. A mention in particular for Mel,- who looked after so well and on what was our first visit to the pub made us feel welcome and treated...as regulars. This is a place we are happy to recommend and gives us an excuse to return to Ireland sooner, rather than later.More
This was our first "on your own" dinner in Dublin and we are very happy we picked Madigan's! From the first sip of Guinness to the last sip of Powers Irish Whiskey, this was a great experience. The wait staff were friendly and prompt, the...food (Beef & Guinness Stew and Shepherd's Pie) was top notch as was desert, and the prices were quite reasonable. The pub was a short walk down the street from our hotel and we had no problems getting a table right away.More
So worth it!! Really enjoyed our dinner. I don't know if all of the waitstaff make their own drinks, but our waitress (Sue Ellen) was awesome!!
Central location. Pleasant old time atmosphere both at the bar and in the lateral lounges. excellent traditional food and good choice of beers.
Food not as good as it used to be. Gaelic chicken was tough and inedible. Bar/table service has changed too. Told to order at the bar as they said customers wanted to see what they could order. Utter rubbish when you go in for a...Guinness and a glass of pinot wine. Just lazy bar staff I guess.More
