We came here to take part in the Literary Pub Crawl and it was great. The atmosphere was lively and I've never seen a bartender work so hard in my life! I had the Traditional Irish Stew and it was probably one of the best I've had in Ireland.

Good pub, the staff are very friendly and fun and the Guinness great! My friend spilled out a whole Guinness and got a new one for free, like everyone should do. Dont miss The Duke!

I came here for dinner on a Friday and sat at the bar. The entire place was crazy busy because of the football match (Ireland V Wales) but the staff took it all in stride. They were hustling and making perfect pours with smiles on their faces and time to check in and make sure everyone was alright.. A special... More

Stopped in for some lunch and we had the roast beef special and the Irish stew. Both meals were really well prepared for a good price. We were very happy with our meal. Would recommend for an easy meal while in Dublin.

Stopped by here for a couple of Guinness. It's newer inside than it looks from the outside but traditional pub style. Being just off Grafton Street the customers were mainly shoppers. I enjoyed the Guinness. I also had a pork sandwich. Nice pork but the sandwich was pretty basic, two slices of the most basic white sliced bread. Overall though... More

It was a fair meal. Nothing too great to talk about. Head bartender was great, rest of wait staff forgot about us it seemed. Several menu items came with more items than described & out of preference the meal wasn't great. (Mayo & ketchup on a burger which a teen disliked ) (overly seasoned fries were very salty) Guinness was... More

We were in Dublin for 2 nights at the very end of February- we ate dinner here prior to the Literary Pub Crawl (awesome!), which starts at The Duke. Had a GREAT experience on night 1...great food, drinks and atmosphere! The waiter we had was awesome and friendly...we also met a wonderful local couple and had great conversation! We loved... More

Hi, I am the manager of The Duke and I must sincerely apologize for the behaviour of my floor staff!! We pride ourselves on our cutomer service and I promise to get to the bottom of it as they have let down the good reputation of the pub and their team mates. Could you let me know what day and... While on a business trip, several of my work friends and I came across this gem of a place and noticed that they have a night for improv comedy and decided to make plans to go. We were a little late but, were personally shown to seats right up front! We were rewarded with a hilarious evening of brilliant improvised... More

We have been going to the duke, easily for the last 10 years or more, so that's a god few visits. First visit to this pub was for the start of the literary tour (also recommended). I don't think we've ever been disappointed, they do table service for food and drink. Whilst understanding why they serve drinks at your table,... More
