Love this place. Keep going back time after time for the food and the service of the wonderful staff. The very best prawn tempura and the baked duck - is wow. The guys serving have such wonderful experience with quality service. A treasure in Dublin 4.

I brought some important overseas clients to this gem of a restaurant in the heart of dublin. Ive been here a couple of times before and it has always been superb. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff are extremely professional and attentive. The quality of the food is outstanding and whilst it is obviously marketing itself as a seafood... More

An evening recently was spent in this friendly, charming little restaurant. From the warm welcome down to the flambé crepes, my husband and I enjoyed the very best experience that trips back to Ireland are supposed to be all about. You still feel echoes from a former era when a wait staff works tirelessly to serve a French style of... More

We came to the Lobster Pot full of expectations, having read so many glowing reviews on Trip Advisor. I hosted a dinner for a visiting business colleague from overseas ; a dinner that ended up being a travesty - not just because the food and its presentation was a sham, but more because of the embarrassment that my guest and... We arrived 20 minutes late, apologised and were greeted with "thought you weren't coming". Very 80s menu but what's not to like about about good seafood? Starters arrived with some pretty unappetising bread. Tartare sauce was some kind of smoothie and absolutely tasteless. Not a caper or piece of gherkin in sight. Prawns in the cocktail overlooked and bland. My... More

Of the few restaurants I tired in this area during a long weekend this was the one I was looking forward to most and probably the m most disappointing. While the food wasn't bad, it was not as good as the price or the atmosphere suggested. A little too formal, a lot of style and not much substance - decidedly... More

Staff were attentive. We had two starters, mains course and two bottles of wine for €167. The atmosphere was relaxed and the waiter brought out a trolley of fresh fish to describe the specials that were available.

We looked for a restaurant that specialised in seafood that's why we chose The Lobster Pot in Ballsbridge. We had made a reservation for 5 and selected from the Á la Carte menu. Two of us ordered Soul Bonne Femme as our main course. When the food arrived we were very disapointed with the portions, especially when considering the prices.... More
