Great classic pub with great old time bartender and good local feel. U shaped bar is great setup and great views down he corner.

We stayed in Dublin for 5 days and went here 3 times. It's a cool pub with okay food but mostly the bar and décor are the reasons to go. The bartenders were really friendly and quick to pour. It's in a good central spot...More
We called in here on lunchtime 30 Sept. The place was very busy and we found a table out the back and settled down to have two Cheese Salad Sandwiches, Guinness and Wine. Very nice indeed. Would highly recommend. Great value.

This pub, in the centre of Dublin, is a great spot for a drink or some food. A buzzy, busy place with some outside seating which catches the afternoon/early evening sun. This pub is looked after by very pleasant staff.

I had the Dublin blond lager which was good; Bar was known as Monicos; Michael Collins a famous Irish leader used to drink there. Usually the ship’s bell is rung 20 minutes before closing time. Does get busy in the evenings.
Great friendly pub! My boyfriend said it has the best pint of Guinness in Dublin! The bar staff were very friendly and we ended up spending most of the evening here. Would definitely recommend the Old Stand instead of heading for the Temple Bar area....More
