The Palace is one of the pubs that just feel right. The location is perfect on the edge of the Temple Bar. No BS, just genuine Irish early evening entertainment.

This bar is a typical Dublin bar. Expect speedy service, moderately prices adult beverages. The people are friendly and welcoming but can also be very loud and rowdy. Prepare to have drink and be merry!

Spent a somewhat memorable evening in The Palace Bar where I immediately met some of the local denizens and proceeded to close the place up. Great stuff.

A lovely old Irish pub with a good selection of beers, friendly staff and great architecture. In a good location.

Went there one night to see some musicians play. Had a great time. The bartender was fast and friendly, and the place just had a great calm feel to it. Good conversations with locals. Would definitely go back.

The ambience is classic Irish pub: photos of Beckett and Joyce on the walls, deep mahogany bar, and lots of Guinness. The difference is the people. The Palace is where the Irish come to drink. The ones we met were friendly, treating my wife an I as if we were old friends come to chat them up. Brilliant!

Great interior, very period with lots of stained glass. Lovely old wooden bar and not a place that has changed for the tourist - it actually had an Irishman behind the bar! Children welcome and a great friendly atmosphere. On the very outskirts of Temple Bar and unspoilt for it. Best pub we visited in Dublin

We just happened upon the Palace bar, it was our first stop on an informal walking tour. We met Liam, had a few pints and some whiskey, learned so much about the history of the bar. You can almost hear the old writers and reporters conversing in the backroom.

Lovely bar in central Dublin providing old world charm and great Guiness. I probably shouldn't rate it so highly as it would be a shame if it became another 'tourist' spot rather than the genuine Irish bar it is today!!
