Prices seem to be creeping up and portions getting smaller, I know its tapas but even the sharing dishes seemed a bit stingy.

Very enjoyable location. Decor is quirky and orginial, very attractive like a port wine cellar. Food was delicious. The squid in seasoned flour with aioli was especially good.

The Port House has been one of my favourite restaurants in Dublin for some time. I love the atmosphere and setting; lovely place for dining, food location. We were here on Saturday and both left feeling a but disappointed.. possibly poor ordering on our part. The octopus, while beautifully flavoured was over cooked/had been sitting there too long before we... More

I (we) have been to the Port House on many occasions with parties of 2 to 10 people. The food is absolutely excellent and the Spanish wine list is exhaustive. HOWEVER. On our last visit, the smell of sewer gas was permeating through the ground floor of the restaurant for our 4 hour dining experience. It's was disgusting and potentially... More

We called into the Port House on a Sat night as we knew that they didn't take reservations. They took our names and offered a seat and drink while waiting. We had a lovely Rioja red. We were waiting about 30mins before being seated. Food was great when it started coming out. It took about 20mins for the first couple... More

Have eaten Tapas home and abroad and obviously in Spain but this place beats them all, with cosy bare brick walls and superb food this really hits the heights, €50 for 5 dishes and a bottle of Rose - yes please.

My wife and I have eaten here several times and it is always constantly excellent. The tapas is some of the best you can get. I usually get 4 different items (all approx. €5 each) The staff are friendly and the food never normally takes more than 10 minutes to come out. and the churros with warm dark dipping chocolate... We strolled along on Sunday night around 8pm and got a good table (having not booked in advance)... The place was busy enough and had a good little atmosphere, cosy, dark, intimate (but not dull) we had 7 tapas dishes between the 2 of us (one of them just bread) and it was plenty... decent bottled beer selection, large wine... First time visiting Dublin with my boyfriend. We look tapes and had this place recommend by our hotel (The Raddison) It had a great atmosphere with great food and good choice of wine and cocktails. I recommend 3/4 dishes per person, the chorizo dish is the best chorizo I've tasted so far... Finally if the cheesecake has not sold out... More

Description
Located at 64A South William Street this beautiful and solely candle lit wine cavern has been stripped back to its original features. As a traditional Spanish tapas bar it boasts a fantastic selection of authentic tapas.
The Port House wine menu is varied and full of interesting wines, ports and sherries at a very reasonable price, carefully selected from Spanish and Portuguese regions.
It is the ideal place for one to relax, enjoy some tapas with a glass of wine and soak up the ambiance that makes this spot a must try.
